Volunteer Opportunity

Hello,

Ms. Kibby is  looking for student volunteers who could earn their community service hours by monitoring stations at our Family STEM events. These events will be held throughout the rest of the school year.

During the event, families of the Six to Six school community come to the gym and visit at a variety of stations to participate in various STEM activities. The activities and materials are all provided, your students just need to be monitors for explanations and organization at each station

The following dates and times are currently on our school calendar…

February 28 from 5-6:30

March 21 from 6-7:30

April 10 from 5-6:30

May 23 from 6-7:30

and June 6 from 6-7:30



I would love to try to have 10 student for each event. These students would need to plan to arrive at Six to Six 1 hour prior to the start time of the event. Pizza will be provided. We will begin with introductions and assignments for stations to be sure everybody is comfortable manning the station they are assigned to. Clean up will begin promptly at end time so that we are out of the building as quickly as possible.

If they are interested, I would need to know which date(s).

If there is any particular paperwork that needs to be completed for volunteer hours, please be sure the students bring such papers with them or have them emailed to me prior to the event.
